Eight New Airlines Entrant
As many as eight (8) new private airlines have applied for regular public transport (RPT) license to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and are likely to start their flight operations during this year.
These airlines are;
- Fly Mashriq by Indus Group
- Air Indus by Indus Group
- Liberty Air owned by Ch Munir and Mian Amir
- Go Green Airways by Elahi Group, Danish Elahi and Arshad Jalil
- Askari Air Pakistan by Army Welfare Trust (AWT)
- United Airways Pakistan Limited by Adnan Tabbni
- Air Sial combined owner Sialkot Chamber of Commerce
- Afeef Zara Airways owned by Rashid Siddiqui
According to new aviation policy issued by Government of Pakistan, it states that;

Airline operators will be encouraged to induct fuel-efficient aircraft. Efforts will be made to improve air travel connectivity across all parts of the country and at the regional level. Airline operations on feeder service routes will also be incentivized. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) will be encouraged in the airline sector. Aviation Sector in the country will be liberalized by allowing market forces to determine the price, quality, frequency and range of air services options.
